How I can help
Lean and cost improvement for Belgian manufacturers
For: manufacturing companies within reach of Zaventem (Brussels, Flemish Brabant, Leuven, Mechelen, Antwerp area) that want lower cost, steadier output or a smoother product launch, and need someone who has done it on the shop floor.
What I do
Lean / TPS shop-floor improvement
I go to the line, look at how the work is really done, and fix the flow, the waste and the standards with your team.
Cost and value engineering
I review parts, processes and supplier costs, and find savings through design and engineering changes, not only through price pressure.
Industrialisation and NPI support
I help bring new products into production: process planning, launch readiness and early problem solving.
Interim Operational Excellence manager
I can step in for a defined period to lead your improvement work or cover a gap.
Lean coaching
I coach team leaders and engineers in PDCA, A3 and standard work, so the improvements last after I leave.
How we could work together
I am open to permanent roles, interim assignments and defined projects in operational excellence, cost and value engineering, and manufacturing improvement. The right setup depends on your situation, so I prefer to start with a conversation about the problem, the team and what success should look like.
My background
- 20+ years of professional experience across engineering, operations and team leadership, including 19+ years at Toyota Motor Europe. At Toyota I started on the factory floor as a stamping engineer.
- Led R&D engineering work on two major vehicle programmes, including engineering changes, cost optimisation, regulatory compliance and quality problem-solving.
- Embedded Lean standards at five plant locations, achieving stable production through high-risk launch phases. Led production engineering for new vehicle launches at five plants with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams of 20+, working with teams in the UK, Türkiye, Czechia, France and Japan.
- Was the primary engineering-side interface with Purchasing. Planned and proposed budgets and allocated approved funding to engineering divisions. Coordinated work with Engineering, Purchasing and suppliers. Annual programme savings grew from about €5M to over €20M a year by 2024, a team result.
- I received three Toyota Value Analysis (VA) Awards (2 in R&D, 1 in cost reduction). MBA with honours, MSc Mechanical Engineering, PSPO I.
- In January 2026 I registered as self-employed to take interim Lean and operational excellence work. I have not taken consulting clients.
