This is a personal professional site run by Guven Bircan in Zaventem, Belgium. Contact: guven@bircans.com.

I do not publish a phone number on this site. Contact forms are not used. If you email me or message me on LinkedIn, I use your details only to reply and follow up. Those services process the communication under their own policies.

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel processes technical data such as IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure. Theme preference may be stored in your browser (local storage) as a functional setting. No marketing cookies are used.

Outbound links to Instagram and GitHub open those platforms in a new tab. This site does not embed their feeds or load their trackers; their own policies apply when you visit them.

If Ask my CV is enabled, your question text is sent through a secure server route to OpenRouter so an AI model can generate an answer. Conversation history stays in your browser and is not stored on this server. You can clear it at any time. Do not enter personal or confidential information. You can avoid the assistant entirely by using email or LinkedIn instead.

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data I hold about you. Email me and I will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données).
